BR-1 Mount Union
6.02 Points Per Red Zone Trip
The Raiders are seemingly atop, or near the top, of every statistical category. As of now they are the best team in red zone production (based on the 30-plus attempts criteria) with a .929 scoring rate after 42 trips to the red zone and 39 scores (including five field goals made) from the area.
Tellingly, they only have five passing TDs from inside the red zone. That makes sense as the team averages just 218 passing yards per game and has netted 11 passing TDs all season, compared to 361 rushing yards per game and 34 rushing scores.
QB Taurice Scott isn’t known for his big arm — though he can cut the ball loose when necessary — as much as his scrambling ability. He ranks third on the team in rushing yards (395) and rushing TDs (six), though he does have 11 passing scores this year. RB Logan Nemeth currently ranks as the top rushing scorer on the team with 14 TDs, compared to the eight reception touchdowns held by leading receiver Roman Namdar. The remaining rushing corps — including Bradley Mitchell — boasts an additional 14 TDs, while the receiving corps has just three.
In other words, good luck trying to stop this multidimensional attack when they get within 20 yards of the end zone.
