Derek Carr may have lost the 2016 NFL MVP race when he went down with a broken leg on Christmas Eve, but the Oakland Raiders have given the quarterback $125 million reasons to forget about that setback.
Carr is set to become the richest player in the NFL as he puts pen to paper on a $125 million contract extension. The deal has $40 million fully guaranteed, and $70 million in total guarantees, as the Raiders look to lock down a young player who they think is one of the best at his position in the league.
