FIU hadn’t made a bowl game since 2019 going into Willie Simmons’ first year as the team’s head coach. It would’ve been understandable if he needed a full year before he led the Panthers to some success.
But he didn’t waste any time getting FIU back to a bowl. The Panthers closed the regular season with four straight wins over Conference USA teams to earn a berth in the First Responder Bowl, where they ultimately lost to UTSA.
But FIU, for the first time in a long time, has some momentum in the offseason. Here’s a look at how FIU is doing in the transfer portal, per On3.
How Many FIU Players Have Entered The Transfer Portal?
Thus far, 12 FIU players have made it known they intend to go to another team via the transfer portal.
How Many Players Have Transferred To FIU?
At this point, three college football players have decided to transfer to FIU.
