Missouri State is yet another Conference USA team to make the jump up from the FCS and start winning games quickly.
The Bears had a winning record in CUSA play, going 5-3, and were 7-5 during the regular season, highlighted by a five-game winning streak. They did enough to earn a bowl berth, losing to Arkansas State in the XBox Bowl to close the season out.
But now head coach Ryan Beard is at Coastal Carolina, and former SMU offensive coordinator Casey Woods is at the helm.
