The MAC Sports Connection laid out scenarios for each team and how they could potentially reach the MAC Championship game. Western Michigan, at 7-1 in conference play, has already clinched a MAC title berth. But three other teams still could make it.

If Miami beats Ball State on Saturday, the RedHawks would make the MAC title game based on tiebreakers.

- Must win its last game against Buffalo (which the Bobcats did on Friday)
- Ball State has to beat Miami
- Central Michigan has to beat Toledo
- Would win the tiebreaker if current Team Rating from SportSource Analytics stands
