Last year’s preseason under-the-radar teams were Delaware (who went from not making the playoffs in 2021 to making the bracket in 2022), Incarnate Word (who had many doubters in the summer before making the 2022 semifinals), Richmond (who went from not making the playoffs in 2021 to reaching the postseason in 2022), Weber State (who went from preseason No. 20 to as high as the Top 5 during the fall), and Youngstown State (who went from 3-7 in 2021 to 7-4).
