Southern Utah running back Targhee Lambson, Montana State quarterback Tommy Mellott, and North Dakota State QB Cam Miller have been voted as the Top 3 finalists for the 2024 FCS Walter Payton Award.
The winner will be announced at the Stats Perform FCS National Awards Banquet on Jan. 4 in Frisco, Texas.
Lambson totaled 320 carries for 1,922 yards and 23 touchdowns. Mellott has 1,956 passing yards, 22 touchdowns, and one interception, plus 640 rushing yards and 11 TDs. Miller has thrown for 2,340 yards, 23 touchdowns, and one interception, and he’s rushed for 370 yards and seven TDs.
