Welcome to the 2020 FCS Jersey Countdown.
Throughout the May-August months, HERO Sports is going to name the best returning FCS player by jersey number, 99-1. Due to rosters being updated at different times for teams across the country and to keep things consistent, jersey numbers are based on the 2019 season.
The full 99-1 countdown/schedule can be found here.
*Note: Jersey numbers are based on 2019 rosters.
50: Andrew Dale, OL (Sr.) — North Carolina Central
Dale brings valuable experience to the NC Central offensive line. The 6-foot-2, 280-pound guard has been a standout lineman since his redshirt freshman season in 2017, where he allowed just one sack in 614 snaps and graded out at 84 percent on blocking assignments.
He followed that up with an All-MEAC Second Team selection as a sophomore. Last year, Dale was voted on the All-Conference Third Team, allowing only two sacks and owning a blocking grade of 81 percent.
Dale has a combination of athleticism and nastiness, utilizing his high school wrestling background.
NFL Draft Diamonds ranks Dale as the 21st best HBCU pro prospect.
