South Dakota State tight end Dallas Geodert has made the top-50 of one of the best talent evaluators in the media landscape, NFL Network analyst Daniel Jeremiah. He lists the FCS stud No. 47 on his top 50 at this point in the season.

Goedert, a 6-foot-5 tight end with tons of receiving ability, is solidly a top-5 tight end in the draft by just about any ranking you can find. He's the second tight end you'll find on Jeremiah's list, behind only South Carolina's Hayden Hurst (No. 34).

In four seasons with the Jackrabbits, Goedert racked up 2,988 receiving yards on 198 catches (15.1 yards per catch) and scored 21 touchdowns. His breakout junior season was a 92-catch, 1,293-yard, 11-touchdown effort, which he followed up with a 72-catch, 1,111-yard, 7-touchdown senior season.
Here's what Jeremiah had to say about his No. 47 prospect and No. 2 tight end:
"Goedert has ideal size, ball skills and toughness for the position. At South Dakota State, he lined up in-line, flexed in the slot or split out wide. In the passing game, he builds speed as a route runner and has subtle quickness at the top of his routes. He understands how to keep defenders on his back and has strong reliable hands. He lacks big-time burst after the catch but he runs hard and is tough to bring down. In the run game, he effectively shields defenders over his nose and can generate some movement on down blocks. Goedert isn't an electric playmaker, but he's dependable in every facet of the position."
