9: Troy Reeder, LB (Sr.) — Delaware
When Colby Reeder committed to Delaware a couple years ago, the Blue Hens ended up striking gold twice. After Colby's commitment, his older brother Troy decided to transfer to Delaware so they can play together. Keep in mind, Troy was coming off a 2015 season where he started 11 games for Penn State as a redshirt freshman and earned First Team Freshman All-Big 10 and Second Team Freshman All-American honors.
As Colby redshirted in 2016, Troy became an immediate contributor at Delaware and was named an honorable mention HERO Sports Sophomore All-American and a Second Team All-CAA selection as he finished with 63 tackles.
Last year, the brothers got to play side by side. Colby started 10 games at linebacker and was named the CAA Defensive Rookie of the Year as he finished with 49 tackles. Troy started all 11 games and led Delaware with 89 tackles as an All-Conference First Team Player.
The two are set to lead a top defensive unit in the FCS this year. Both are physical presences in the middle of the defense at 6-foot-3, 240-245 pounds. Troy is on our preseason All-American Second Team and a guy NFL scouts are keeping an eye on.
