The Steelers were down 19-17 and Hall of Famer Lynn Swann was knocked out of the game. John Stallworth (Alabama A&M) stepped up almost immediately, catching two deep passes from Terry Bradshaw. One was a 73-yard touchdown catch that gave Pittsburgh the lead. The next was a 45-yard catch between a couple of Rams defenders that sealed the win and team of the decade honors for Pittsburgh.
