South Dakota State and New Hampshire squared off Saturday in the FCS Playoffs Quarterfinals, and it was all South Dakota State in a game that was quickly a blowout.

SDSU jumped out to a 28-0 halftime lead and never looked back on the way to a 56-14 victory.

South Dakota State got things started quickly as the Jackrabbits marched down the field on a 6-play, 70-yard touchdown drive in under 4 minutes, with QB Taryn Christion finishing things off with a 13-yard scamper.

One defensive stop later the Jackrabbits were at it again, this time scoring on an end-around to star wide receiver Jake Wieneke for 48 yards to paydirt.

The Jacks added a third first-quarter score on the ground — aided on the way from an incredible catch by Wieneke — as Isaac Wallace punched it in from 13 yards away to put SDSU up 21-0.

And Wallace finds the end zone for SDSU’s third touchdown in the opening quarter

Near the end of the second quarter Christion and Wieneke hooked up on a 32-yard touchdown pass as Wieneke evaded a tackle near the goal line to power in for six.

New Hampshire threatened late in the half, but SDSU's defense stopped the Wildcats on the one yard line on fourth and goal following a 13-play, 74-yard drive. The Jacks took a 28-0 lead into the break.

New Hampshire finally got on the board on the next drive, as Trevor Knight found Kieran Presley for a 75-yard catch and run to make it 35-7.

Moments later, however, SDSU squashed any momentum New Hampshire gained when Cade Johnson brought the ensuing kickoff back 99 yards to the house.

With New Hampshire driving early in the fourth quarter, Larenzo Williams shut things down with an interception, and SDSU turned it into seven points as Christion and Wieneke hooked up for a 10-yard score, Wieneke's third TD of the game.

After another pick and another SDSU touchdown, New Hampshire put one in the end zone, getting near the goal line on this catch-and-run from Malik Love to make it 56-14.
