Washington entered the 2018 recruiting cycle without a top-five Pac-12 class since 2013. The Huskies currently have the top class in the conference after a stellar National Signing Day — and no one is talking about it.

As College Football Playoff participants Clemson and Georgia attracted most of the attention (deservedly so) during the first day of the early signing period with a slew of five-star commitments and signings, Washington was quietly signing all 18 members of their 2018 class, including eight four-star players.
"We're really, really excited about these guys," head coach Chris Petersen said on Wednesday. "We've got a bunch of great kids that are big-time players and that's usually our mission."

Those big-time players include two of the nation's top quarterbacks in Colson Yankoff (No. 6 dual-threat per 247Sports) and Jacob Simon (No. 4 pro-style) and the eighth-ranked receiver in Marquis Spiker. They also signed four-star all-purpose back Trey Lowe, four-star guard Sam Taimani and four-star receiver Austin Osborne. Defensively, four-star linebacker Brandon Kaho and four-star strong-side defensive end Draco Bynum also inked letters of intent, giving the program their second-most four-star signees in one class ever.
Washington's group currently ranks 11th in the country, two spots ahead of Oregon, the next highest Pac-12 team. The Ducks have 20 prospects with an average rating of 88.12, more than one full point behind the Huskies (89.84). Petersen's class is void of one of the 27 five-star recruits, it is currently the best and deepest class in program history.
