Over the span of three days, a whole host of former college football stars will find new homes where they will hopefully impress during the offseason and make a living playing on Sundays.
COMPARE: Nic Shimonek (2017) vs. Kurt Benkert (2017)
This video features Texas Tech QB Nic Shimonek. Shimonek stepped into the leading role for the Red Raiders for one season after Patrick Mahomes departed for the NFL and did enough to find himself projected as a mid-to-late-round NFL choice.
He completed 67-percent of his passes in the wide-open Big 12, throwing for 3.963 yards, 33 touchdowns, and 10 interceptions. Another that stood out at the East-West Shrine game, Shimonek has value as a developmental type quarterback.
