Kyle Lauletta heard his name called early on day three of the 2018 NFL Draft and became the eighth FCS quarterback to be drafted since 2008, when Baltimore spent the 18th pick of the draft on Delaware quarterback Joe Flacco.

Since Flacco, 6 more FCS quarterbacks have been drafted with Lauletta now the seventh. Two more FCS QBs besides Flacco have gone on to be franchise quarterbacks, with Carson Wentz and Jimmy Garoppolo penciled in as the long-term quarterbacks for Philadelphia and San Francisco.
Lauletta might be joined in the 2018 NFL Draft by a couple of other FCS QBs — Sam Houston State's Jeremiah Briscoe and South Dakota's Chris Streveler — who are fringe draft prospects.
