Wisconsin safety Natrell Jamerson headed into the 2018 NFL Combine projected as a 6th-7th round draft pick, the No. 8 free safety according to NFL Draft Scout. After his showing at the combine, he should see his stock on the rise.

Jamerson measured in at 5-foot 10 5/8 and 201 pounds, with 9 3/4 inch hands, 32 5/8 inch arms and a 77 1/4 inch wingspan. He then proceeded to out-lift and out-run just about everyone at his position.

On Sunday, Jamerson put up 25 reps on the bench, tying Arizona's Dane Cruikshank for the top number among defensive backs.

Then on Monday he ran a 4.40-second 40 yard dash, the ninth-fastest time among defensive backs and the second-fastest time among true safeties (Penn State's Troy Apke — 4.35 seconds)

Jamerson started his collegiate career as a wide receiver, switched to corner and played safety his final season at Wisconsin, playing special teams for the Badgers throughout his career.

His lack of film (just one season) at safety will be a concern to some NFL scouts, but his performance at the combine shows he has the raw skills a coach can work with at the next level.
