THE SKINNY
Youngstown State had some great talent even BT (that's before Tressel, for those of you scoring at home). Everybody knows about Jaws — Ron Jaworski — who led the Philadelphia Eagles to the Super Bowl following the 1980 season and also was a Pro Bowler. He is one of the all-time greats for the Penguins and then went on to throw for nearly 30,000 yards in the pros during a 15-year career. He was a 2nd-round NFL Draft Pick in 1973 by the L.A. Rams, but made a name for himself in Philly. Kicker Jeff Wilkins was a Pro Bowler during his career and nailed more than 300 career fielf goals. All in all, the Penguins have had quite the legacy in the league — dating back more than 70 years to Sloko Gill playing for the Detroit Lions back in the years of World War II.
