White caught a Super Bowl record 14 passes (breaking Demaryius Thomas' record) and totaled 139 yards from scrimmage, becoming the first running back with over 100 receiving yards in the Super Bowl since Roger Craig. White scored the game-winning touchdown in overtime, his second of the game.
Now White and the Patriots are looking to make it back to the championship, and he's an important part of a running back rotation in New England.
Here are 5 stats you might not have known from his collegiate career at Wisconsin.

1,052
White put up over 1,000 yards in his freshman season at Madison, an incredible feat considering he was the third-string running back behind Wisconsin stars John Clay and Melvin Gordon. He finished the year with 14 touchdowns, and was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year.

4,015
White is 5th all-time in the UW record books with 4,015 career rushing yards. He trails only Ron Dayne, Montee Ball, Melvin Gordon and Anthony Davis — and he played alongside two of those guys, splitting carries with Ball and Gordon during his career.

88 – 150 – 132 – 300
White's yearly receiving yardage, as he (generally) improved each season. That was a precursor of what to come, as White has far outpaced his rushing yards with receiving yards in the NFL. He finished his college career with 670 receiving yards and three scores through the air.

92
White's longest touchdown from scrimmage in college was a 92-yard dash on Wisconsin's first play from scrimmage in a 2013 matchup against Indiana. It remains the longest rush in Wisconsin history. He finished the game with a career-high 205 yards.

6.24
White's career yards-per-carry average of 6.24 is second-best in school history, behind only Melvin Gordon's 7.79 average. White might be a smaller, scat-style running back, but he got the job done between the tackles, too.
