Jon Gruden is officially the new head coach in Oakland, and while we'll write hundreds of thousands of words on his attempts this season to return the Raiders to their glory days of yore, there most certainly will be a decent amount of chatter around who will replace Chucky inside the Monday Night Football booth.

Since 2009, Gruden has been the color analyst alongside first Mike Tirico and then Sean McDonough, but that all changed when he signed a massive 10-year contract worth a reported $100 million.

While I can't wait to see what Gruden brings to Oakland in 2018, I do admit I'm going to miss his Monday Night Football gems like Spider 2 Y Banana.

Jon Gruden Monday Night Football Replacement Odds

With Gruden out of the booth and setting up shop in the Bay Area, who will ESPN hire to replace him?

Like most things sports-related, you can bet on it.

A few names on the list below make a lot of sense. Rex Ryan called the second half of ESPN's Monday Night Football doubleheader to kick off the season so he at least has one game under his belt. Steve Young is articulate and knowledgeable as they come, and he could give us one-of-a-kind insights we've come to love from Tony Romo over on CBS.

The one name on this list I have a hard time believing will get hired is Ron Jaworski. I'm a huge Jaws fan, but he had his run in the MNF booth already from 2007 to 2011.
