Predicted Champion: Southern Arkansas
The Muleriders return talent on every level on both sides of the ball, led by quarterback Barrett Renner. 11 other All-GAC performers are back as well, giving SAU a big pool of talent in which they can win with in 2017.

Predicted Champion: Ferris State
A very challenging schedule lays ahead for the Bulldogs, but the talent is there to win the conference title. Showdowns on the road at Ashland and at home against Grand Valley State will be the catalysts to a conference crown or a successful run that culminates in an at-large playoff berth.

Predicted Champion: Southwest Baptist
17 starters come back from the first GLVC champions in school history and a team that won 10 games. T.J. Edwards is back at quarterback, and should lead the charge for what could be an undefeated season heading into the D2 Playoffs.

Predicted Champion: Emporia State
Playing little brother to NW Missouri for the last few years, ESU will finally take hold of the conference this year as they bring back a lot more talent from 2016 than the Bearcats, and are due for a win in that series. Opening against each other on August 31, whoever wins that game should be the conference favorite, and I believe it will be the Hornets.
