The 2017 NFL Draft is coming at us quickly. The yearly extravaganza will take place in Philadelphia from Thursday, April 27 to Saturday, April 29 this year.
Over the span of three days, a whole host of former college football stars will find new homes where they will hopefully impress during the offseason and make a living playing on Sundays.

Between now and the end of April, we will feature some of the NFL stars of tomorrow. Many of these are names from big time college football programs you will recognize, while some will be new to all but the most dedicated followers of the sport.
Next up on our trip through draft-eligible prospects is Michigan defensive end Taco Charlton. Charlton was a beast off of the edge in the Big Ten last season and is one of a host of Wolverines' defenders expected to be taken on the first day of the draft.
Standing at 6-foot-6 and weighing 272 or so pounds, Charlton is a mountain of a man. Sometimes being that tall can create issues as a DE/OLB hybrid as it is hard to win a battle of leverage at that size. Charlton though is able to rush with a low, balanced pad level and his combination of explosion and fluid movement will translate well to playing at the next level.
Charlton will need work at the next level because he is still relatively raw as a pass rusher and (especially) with his run defense. Playing under Jim Harbaugh only helped his pro potential and falling into a system that will suit his skill set could allow Charlton to have a very successful NFL career from day one onward.
