RECRUITS: 26 (could fluctuate)
GEM OF THE CLASS: OL Sterling Strother (6-4/255)
NEXT THREE: RB Alan Lamar, WR J.P. Shohfi, DE Charles Callender.
THE SKINNY: I know what you're thinking … "an Ivy League school at No. 2?". And on top of that, an Ivy League school that went 6-4 last year, right? Well, yeah. That's exactly right. Now, Yale is a non-scholarship school, so the school didn't exactly trumpet its incoming class on Wednesday like most of the FCS did. But make no mistake, this class is really, really strong. It is huge, it is talented, and it has some sleeper prospects that put up video-game numbers in high school (notably Lamar and Shohfi). Keep an eye on this team, folks, as it challenges Harvard for Ivy League dominance in the coming years. The coaching staff should take a bow. And lastly … as usual I need to get on my soapbox and say this: I really, really wish the Ivy League would participate in the FCS playoffs. There, I said it. Again.
STERLING STROTHER TOLD HERO SPORTS: "I don't predict wins, losses and championships. I only have one prediction: This class will outwork any other class in the Ivy League … Our class definitely has a number of really high-caliber players but, more importantly, I feel that nobody is a prima donna and nobody believes they are entitled to anything."
