Southern Miss' 15 commitments in the 2019 recruiting class are the 58th-most in the FBS. The Golden Eagles, however, have made more 2019 scholarship offers than any other program.
As of Friday, Oct. 5, four FBS programs have offered scholarships to at least 400 players in the 2019 class: Southern Miss (430), Tennessee (427), Syracuse (424) and Air Force (424). Thirteen more programs have at least 300 offers, and 15 more have at least 250 offers.
Of those four programs with 400 or more offers, unsurprisingly, none rank among the top programs in commitment rate. Air Force's commit rate of 6.04 percent (25 commits on 414 offers) ranks 80th, best among the quartet. Tennessee's 4.68 percent (20 commits on 427 offers) ranks 95th, Southern Miss' 3.49 percent (15 commits on 430) ranks 115th, and Syracuse's 2.83 percent (12 commits on 424 offers) ranks 119th.
