Last season was one of the more forgettable in San Francisco 49ers history. They finished 2-14 in the Chip Kelly era, and fired the former Philadelphia head coach after just one season. Enter: Kyle Shanahan. 
The former Atlanta Falcons offensive coordinator brings with him over a decade of NFL experience, though this is his first head coaching job. John Lynch joins him as the GM.
The two already made a big splash in the draft, fleecing Chicago for three picks to trade down one spot from No. 2 to No. 3 overall. The Bears used that pick on UNC quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, while the 49ers used the third and fourth round picks they received to make a few more deals. All things considered, it was an outstanding first move for the new GM.

The 49ers are set to begin training camp on Thursday, July 27, and will then schedule their 10 training camp practices over the next 14 days. No official dates have been released for those practices as of this writing.
