Sinister Six D2 Football Defensive Backs

Sinister Six D2 Football Defensive Backs

[slidshow_break]

1. Joshua Simmons, Limestone

Joshua Simmons, Limestone football

Stats: 6 INT / 131 Return Yards / 2 TD

Currently tied for the most picks in D2, Simmons has bounced back nicely after a bit of a down year in 2015.

In 2014, the defensive back snagged four picks. Last year, just one. But this year Simmons has already set career highs in interceptions, return yards, and touchdowns. Through seven weeks, Simmons' longest return was a 95-yarder, and he averages over 21 yards per interception.

Simmons is probably not a name many D2 fans know, but he should definitely be on your radar now. At this pace, the junior is going to show up in some postseason honors, maybe even as Defensive HERO of the Year.
