Oklahoma became the lowest ranked team to ever win the softball title on Tuesday after the No. 19 Sooners upset the No.1 ranked Florida Gators for the second night in a row.
After a stunning and exhausting 17-inning affair yesterday, Game 2 in Oklahoma City was decided in the regularly allotted time. This Nicole Mendes leadoff home run drew first blood for the Sooners as they battled out a 5-4 victory and took home the title for the second successive year.
