Nearly 6,000 touchdowns were scored by FBS teams, all of which were, obviously, worth the same number of points. But, some touchdowns were bigger than others. Some set records, some were game-winners in overtime, some were scored in garbage time.
Which players scored the first and last touchdowns of the 2017 season?

Answer
First: Timmy Hernandez
Last: DeVonta Smith
BYU-Portland State and Oregon State-Colorado State both kicked off at the same time (1:00 p.m. MT) on Saturday, Aug. 26, the first day of the 2017 season. The first touchdown was by Oregon State, just three minutes, 29 seconds into their eventual 58-27 loss to Colorado State. Jake Luton and Timmy Hernandez connected on a 39-yard touchdown to give the Beavers an early lead.
The last touchdown is one of the biggest plays in college football history. Tua Tagovailoa found a wide-open DeVonta Smith streaking down the far sideline in overtime of the CFP National Championship.
