UAB football is back, and so far it has been a raging success.
The Blazers made their triumphant return to college football last week by dominating FCS foe Alabama A&M 38-7.

The day was downright epic, complete with a new single-game home attendance record.

The Blazers far outdrew everyone else in Conference USA, including the debut of FAU coach Lane Kiffin.

Now comes UAB's first big test: A road trip to Ball State to face a Cardinals squad that was a missed field goal a week ago of taking Illinois into overtime in Champagne.
To look their best for their first road game in two years, the Blazers will be donning these ice-cold helmets on Saturday.

Here's hoping this isn't the first eye-popping helmet we see from the Blazers in 2017.
