The first annual Polynesian Bowl is going to be a fun one for a lot of reasons.
The inaugural game on Jan. 21 will immediately become one of the most unique sporting events in the world. Organized by the Polynesian Football Hall of Fame — a nonprofit organization founded in 2013 by former NFL players Jesse Sapolu and Ma’a Tanuvasa — the game at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu is a high school all-star game. Part of the Hall of Fame's enshrinement weekend, the game includes players of Polynesian heritage and other ancestries from around the world. Tennessee Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota and Baltimore Ravens' offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley are each leading a team.

Though many eyeballs will be on elite recruits Tua Tagovailoa (Alabama), Sampson Niu (Oregon), Dylan McCaffrey (Michigan) and others, the players' helmets will also draw a lot of attention.
