Wooster's longtime head coach Steve Moore hit a huge milestone this week, getting his 787th win to move into second place on the all-time wins list in Division 3.
Wooster beat Allegheny on Wednesday 91-67 to move Moore past St. John's University (Minn.) legend Jim Smith for second most wins all time, and notched Moore his 700th win at Wooster.
"I've been extremely blessed, and I thank God for the opportunity to coach for this many years, and at a place like Wooster," Moore said via the school's website. "I've been blessed with so many good players because that's what it's about, since players win games."
The Scots won again on Saturday at Wittenberg, giving Moore his 788th overall win, to improve Wooster to 9-6 overall and 6-2 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.
Wooster is the winningest D3 team of the current century, with a 434-84 mark, an .838 winning percentage since the year 2000, all under Moore's guidance.
