We have entered that time of year where the coaching carousal is at it’s top speed. Rutgers found themselves in the need of a head coach after firing Kyle Flood and an unlikely candidate stepped up.
19 year old Rutgers student Ben Kautz applied for the position by emailing his resume to Senior Athletic Director Geoff Brown. Make sure you check out his resume, I’m sure it’s nothing like any head coach has submitted before.
Not only does he have extensive video game experience, but he is endorsed by his own mother.

He had a whole platform going for him, anchored by the hashtag #Kautz4Coach and received plenty of support.

HERO Sports got a chance to interview the youngest head coaching applicant in history and ask him a few questions.
(Since the interview, Rutgers named Chris Ash their new head coach, but come on, you can’t help but love Coach Kautz)
