Last year, Temple broke a three-year drought with no players drafted after three former Owls found new home sin the 2016 NFL Draft.
Cornerback Tavon Young, defensive tackle Matthew Ioannidis, and linebacker Tyler Matakevich were fourth, fifth and seventh round picks, respectively.
This year, it looks like Temple could have a couple of players drafted even higher.
HEROSports.com's NFL Draft Analyst Todd Worly has ranked a pair of Temple players in the Top 75 prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Here are his assessments of each player:
Listed at 6-foot-1 and 230-pounds, size is the major obstacle Reddick will have to overcome. He has the explosiveness, feet, range, burst to close and physicality to be an impact 3-4 outside linebacker as a pass rusher and in coverage. However, the NFL is all about finding out what you struggle with and then exploiting it. Reddick will have to prove that he can be solid at the point of attack in the running game in order to become a starter in this league. If he does, he could be a steal in the third round. He should be able to step in right away and bring value as a passrush specialist. |
Dawkins has the explosiveness, feet, range, and knee bend to become a solid starter at tackle in the NFL, and the nasty streak to bring an attitude to his offensive line unit. The more consistent his knee bend becomes, the better he’ll be at the point of attack. |
