Last year Utah running back Devontae Booker was a fourth-round selection by the Denver Broncos. Booker was the only Ute drafted in 2016.
2015, however, saw a bunch of former Utah players head to the NFL. Notably, cornerback Eric Rowe and defensive end Nate Orchard were each second-round selections.
Utah will look to send a few more players to the NFL in the 2017 NFL Draft.
HEROSports.com's NFL Draft Analyst Todd Worly has ranked three Utah prospects in the Top 90 prospects in the 2017 NFL Draft.
Here are his assessments of each player:
Bolles has the best nasty streak of the tackles at the top of this draft class, and also has the versatility to kick inside to guard if need be. With his combination of explosiveness, feet, range and knee bend, Bolles is more talented right now than Wisconsin's Ryan Ramczyk, but isn’t as long as the former Badger. |
His explosiveness and range may be slightly behind the safeties ranked ahead of him on this list, but Williams has the ball skills to make big plays and make NFL quarterbacks think twice about taking chances with the ball over the middle. |
If you’re looking for someone to bring an intimidating presence to an offensive line, Asiata is your man. Asiata’s explosiveness, power and nasty streak stand out the most. As his knee bend and feet improve, he has the potential to develop into a solid NFL starter. |
