Both Teams Earn Double-Digit Lead
Clemson's best shot may be to get out of the gate fast and they could be successful early again like a year ago when they scored 14 points in the first quarter.
This is a different Alabama defense, but a good game plan can get to them before they have a chance to make the adjustments. Watson's ability to run is a significant factor in prolonging plays and extending drives.
There have been games this season when Watson didn't run much. But this is the title game and coach Dabo Swinney and offensive playcaller Tony Elliott aren't saving anything for later.
Of course, if Clemson goes up early and both teams are supposedly to hold a double-digit lead, this means the Tide come roaring back. Yep, they do.
