Worldwide Wrestling Entertainment CEO Vince McMahon announced today his plans to start a new professional football league in 2020. While there are many, many questions to be asked and answered, there is one pressing issue that is on the tip of everyone's tongue: Who will play in the XFL? Here's five players we hope play in McMahon's new football league.

5. Terrell Owens
Owens will be 47 years old when the XFL kicks off, and while that may be long in the tooth for any professional standards, that — hopefully — will not be the case for Owens and the new league. TO's career was abruptly cut short in 2011 after a year in Cincinnati. He led the team in receptions, yards and touchdowns that season. He never officially retired, however. In 2014, he declared himself available. In 2017, he played in the American Flag Football League. In 2018, he was delivering pizza…kind of.
His antics were frowned upon in the NFL, but would be universally welcomed in the re-imagined XFL. As long as he doesn't need a new hip replacement by then.

4. Pat McAfee
McAfee has become one of the main voices of Barstool Sports since retiring from the NFL in 2016. The preeminent voice (maybe the only one) on the NFL's kickers and punters, his protection of "The Brand" makes him one of the best podcast listens. Were he to consider a comeback, it would be a mutually beneficial relationship. Barstool would get invaluable access and content to a burgeoning league. McMahon would have a loyal fan base to begin the league. McAfee has already expressed an interest.
Hey @VinceMcMahon, I’d like to become an owner of one of the #XFL teams. I think Indianapolis would love the #XFL… also, gonna need a pretty large loan as well. Thank you. pic.twitter.com/gvtKyG97Yq

3. Chad Kelly
While Kelly might not have the name recognition as some of the other players on this list, he has, what he likes to call, swag. Before the 2017 NFL Draft, Kelly said, "I play with a different attitude that you usually don't see in a quarterback. I play with a swag they've never seen before." Who doesn't want that?

2. Tim Tebow
TEBOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWW

1. Johnny Manziel
Has there ever been a better fit in all of life than Manziel and McMahon. It even has a nice ring to it. Turns out, we're not the only one.
Vince McMahon is going to announce new football league, which will start in 2020. I was told Johnny Manziel will be a No. 1 target for new league.
