VOTE: Who Will Catch Jay Cutler’s First Interception as a Miami Dolphin?

VOTE: Who Will Catch Jay Cutler’s First Interception as a Miami Dolphin?

Jay Cutler is back from retirement, signing with the Miami Dolphins after Ryan Tannehill tore his ACL early in training camp. Cutler signed a 1-year deal to be the new signal caller and there's only one question left to ask — who catches his first interception?

Cutler has 146 career interceptions over his 11 years in the league, averaging more than 13 per season. He threw 109 interceptions in eight seasons as a member of the Chicago Bears after he threw 37 in three years as the Denver Broncos quarterback. This fall he'll look to add to that total in a new uniform.

And add to that total he will…I mean, just look at the guy:

As former Packers safety Charles Woodson said after a 2012 Green Bay win over Chicago, "…it’s the same-old Jay. We don’t need luck; Jay will throw us the ball.”

So tell me — who will Jay Cutler throw the ball to as a Miami Dolphin?

Week 1: Tampa Bay

S Chris Conte

The former Chicago Bear joined the Buccaneers in 2015 and has just four interceptions in his two years with the team. One of those interceptions, however, was a pick six last year when the Buccaneers defeated the Bears. Could he get another one off of Smokin' Jay?

CB Brent Grimes

The former Miami cornerback gets revenge on his old team and at the same time gives Cutler the first notch in the interception column in the 2017 season. Sounds like a win-win for Grimes, who also registered an interception against Cutler and the Bears last season.

CB Vernon Hargreaves

The No. 11 overall pick in 2016 had just one interception in his rookie season, picking off Drew Brees late in the year. He didn't manage to intercept Cutler when the Bucs played Cutler last year — he could right that wrong.

Wild Card: LB Lavonte David

David had one pick last year that he returned for a touchdown against the Chargers. He does have 10 interceptions in his career from his outside linebacker position. Could he get No. 11 against Jay Cutler?

Week 2: at L.A. Chargers

CB Casey Hayward

Hayward played for the Packers for four years, so he's got plenty of experience with Jay Cutler and his many interceptions. He picked off Cutler in a 2012 win over Chicago and returned a Cutler interception 82 yards for a score in a 2014 rout that ended in a 55-14 win for Green Bay. Could he get his third career pick off of Cutler in week 2?

S Dwight Lowery

Lowery has 17 career interceptions — could he be the recipient of a sailed Jay Cutler pass over the middle of the field? He picked Cutler off in 2010 and returned it 20 yards for a TD while he played for the Jets. It's been awhile since he's caught a pass from Cutler.

DB Desmond King

Let the rook in on the action! King had 13 interceptions in his collegiate career at Iowa. It would be fitting that his first in the NFL came at the hands of the interception "king" himself.

Wild Card: DE Joey Bosa

The Chargers pass rusher played in 12 games last year, recording 10.5 sacks. Maybe he pulls down his first interception on a Jay Cutler screen pass gone wrong.

Week 3: at N.Y. Jets

Lol…he's not getting through two games without an interception.

VOTE!

So who does it? Who hands Jay Cutler his first interception as a Miami Dolphin?
