Rutgers finished 2-10 in their first season under the coaching of Chris Ash last fall. The 10 games that they lost were by an average of almost 31 points. Obviously, this was not a good return.
While Rutgers will be better on the field in 2017 – the Scarlet Knights return 13 starters – it might not be easy to pick up that win total too much. Their schedule is brutal and includes matchups with the power teams in the Big Ten East, along with probable top 25 finishers Nebraska and Washington.
