It only took 8 snaps in the Chicago Bears first preseason game to further the hype around rookie 4th-round draft pick Tarik Cohen, a diminutive 5-foot-6, 181-pound running back out of North Carolina A&T.

He's already turned plenty of heads in training camp, but he put on a show Thursday night in Chicago's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos.
He carried the ball seven times in his eight snaps, totaling 39 yards. He would have upped that yardage total, but stepped out of bounds spinning away from a defender (see the play below).
As most NFL fans know, the preseason has to be taken with a grain of salt. So what Bears fans should be more excited about than the numbers is just that Cohen looked like he belonged. You can never be too sure about a small-school product who is also small in stature — how will they translate to the next level?
Cohen is well on his way to answering all of those questions.
