The 2017 college football season was magical. It gave us Ohio State–Penn State, Army–Navy, Georgia–Oklahoma and dozens of other entertaining, high-stakes matchups. It did not, however, give us Alabama-UCF and other matchups we'd pay big money to see.

UCF can declare themselves national champions if they wish. They can throw a parade, hang a banner and dole out championship bonuses to their coaching staff. The Knights, however, are not playing either Alabama or Georgia for the College Football Playoff National Championship. And while it makes no sense for UCF to, for example, play the winner for the title, we can still drool over the possibility of a Knights-Crimson Tide game later this month.
MORE: UCF Deserved More Love, But Not a Playoff Spot
Here are six games we didn't get during the regular season or postseason and we'd love to see.

UCF vs. Alabama
To be honest, UCF's playoff argument is weak. They can argue to be one of the four best teams in the country but who did they really expect to replace in the playoff field? Alabama? There is no coherent argument there, but that doesn't mean we wouldn't love to see them play the Crimson Tide.
Watching Scott Frost, McKenzie Milton and the Knights battle Nick Saban, Rashaan Evans and the Tide would be a treat for everyone.

UCF vs. Georgia
Regardless of the outcome of Monday's national championship, let's watch UCF play both the teams competing for the CFP title. UCF beat Auburn, who demolished Georgia, 40-17, in November, and could put a lot of stress on the Bulldogs' defense.

Florida Atlantic vs. USC
As good as Florida Atlantic was this season, they didn't beat — or play — any big-time opponents after their early trip to Wisconsin, which came long before the Owls started rolling. As much as we'd love to see FAU vs. any of the top teams, a game vs. Lane Kiffin's former employer would be entertaining.

Ohio State vs. Alabama
This is the one Ohio State fans want. The Buckeyes were narrowly edged — or snubbed in some people's opinions — by the Tide for the final playoff spot.
Nick Bosa chasing Jalen Hurts, Nick Saban scheming vs. Urban Meyer and a final game from J.T. Barrett? Yes please.

Oklahoma vs. Louisville
Five words: Baker Mayfield vs. Lamar Jackson.

Army vs. Washington
This matchup isn't as sexy as the other five but it'd be an intriguing battle.
Washington's defense gave up 2.6 yards per rushing attempt, the best in the nation. Army's offense averaged six yards per carry (fifth) and led the nation in both rushing attempts (785) total rushing yards (4,710). Could Vita Vea and the Huskies' front seven contain the Black Knights' triple-option attack?
