College football doesn't need warm-ups. It doesn't need to stretch or take a few minutes to get back into the swing of things.
College football returned in powerful fashion this weekend.
The first full weekend of college football included upsets, spectacular one-handed catches, bizarre occurrences and hilarious sequences. And while some fans didn't enjoy it as much as others (sorry, Texas), we couldn't have asked for anything more from Week 1.

This is Awesome
USC long-snapper Jake Olson, who's been blind since the age of 12, entered the game against Western Michigan and delivered a perfect snap.

BBPI: Big Boy Pants Index
ESPN analyst Todd Blackledge is a pioneer. He invented a new advanced stat that measure who's wearing Big Boy Pants.

Jaleel Scott
Jaleel Scott was a little-known New Mexico State receiver on Friday afternoon. By Friday night his name was plastered everywhere after making this unbelievable catch in their close loss to Arizona State.

Howard Pays Big
Howard pulled off the biggest point-spread upset in college football history on Saturday night. The 45-point underdogs shocked UNLV, which rewarded aggressive bettors who took a shot on the Bison.

Tough Times at ECU
Two years after East Carolina made a very unpopular move by firing head coach Ruffin McNeill, it's highly likely they're regretting it. They were pummeled by James Madison.
Remember when East Carolina fired Ruffin McNeill after 1 losing season?
Might wanna have that one back… pic.twitter.com/w2OD4Gzxbc

Troy Had a Weird Day
The Trojans had tons of opportunities to beat Boise State on the road but couldn't make it happen. One of those came on this bizarre pick-six-turned-offensive-touchdown-turned-touchback.
Troy and Boise just created the rare combined 14 point swing play that ended in a touchback https://t.co/FSmlUcx2pJ

Pottery Barn is Not a Barn
South Carolina picked up a huge Week 1 win over North Carolina State but it wasn't all peachy for Will Muschamp, who was told during the game that Pottery Barn is NOT a barn.

Maryland-Texas Highlights
This game was far more entertaining that anyone could have expected. Though it's easy to talk big picture for Tom Herman and the Longhorns, for now let's appreciate it for what it was, a phenomenal game to watch.

Targeting Rules Suck
Utah State's Jalen Davis was the latest victim of a flawed targeting rule that results in an automatic ejection.

Photo of the Year?
Kliff Kingsbury and Texas Tech made a Week 1 statement by squashing upset alert chatter with a blowout win over Eastern Washington. There was no way the Red Raiders were losing after taking this pregame photo.

Ugly, Ugly Win for Illinois
Illinois needed a late touchdown to beat Ball State on Saturday afternoon. It could end up being their lone victory of the season, which may get Lovie Smith fired (who might replace him?).
