Texas and Texas A&M played every year from 1915 to 2011 until the Aggies left the Big 12 to join the SEC. Played more often than not on Thanksgiving weekend, the Longhorns have a commanding lead in a series that sadly ended during the madness of conference realignment half a decade ago.
If Longhorns' coach Tom Herman had his way, the two schools would start playing each other again in the not-so-distant future. He said earlier this year, "We don't play a rival at home ever. I don't know why we can't play A&M as our marquee non-conference oppoenent."
