According to voters at Cleveland.com, the Ohio State Buckeyes will take on the Wisconsin Badgers in the 2017 Big Ten Championship game, and most believe the Buckeyes will emerge as the Big Ten Champs following the title game.
Cleveland.com released its annual Big Ten poll, and for the third straight season (and the fourth in the last five years) voters selected Ohio State as the eventual champions.
The Buckeyes have followed through on those votes just once in the five-year span, in 2013, while Michigan State has won the title twice and Penn State and Wisconsin have each earned a conference championship.
Here's how the votes played out in each division of the conference:
Big Ten East
Big Ten West
Wisconsin and Ohio State are overwhelming favorites to win their respective divisions, with six total teams picked at least once to win the division (Penn State, Michigan State, Northwestern and Nebraska all given first place division votes).
Here's how the voters projected the championship game:
Ohio State over Wisconsin (22)
Ohio State over Northwestern (5)
Ohio State over Nebraska (2)
Wisconsin over Ohio State (3)
Wisconsin over Penn State (1)
Penn State over Wisconsin (4)
Michigan over Wisconsin (1)
