No. 21 Lukas Denis
Boston College – S
Lukas Denis and William Harris form one of the best safety duos in college football. Between the two of them, they had two Power Five offers, each from Boston College. The Eagles saw something that no other Power Five program did and oh boy, are they getting a return on their investment.
The pair arrived in Chestnut Hill one year apart (Harris in 2014, Denis in 2015) but are now seniors on what could be the best Boston College team in nearly a decade. They're very different players — Denis (below) is a 5-foot-11 free safety with elite coverage skills (22 passes defended), and Harris is a 6-foot-2 strong safety who will knock the stuffing out of ball carriers — that complement each other perfectly.
“We have such a relationship where it’s like, ‘He’s trying to make this play. I’m trying to make this play,' " said Denis, whose seven interceptions tied for the FBS lead. “I think that just makes us better because we believe so highly in each other.”
Denis enters his final season as an All-America candidate, rising 2019 NFL Draft prospect and the best No. 21 in college football.
