The Bryant men’s basketball team is heading to the 2025 NCAA Tournament after winning the America East Conference. In the America East tourney, it defeated the University of Maryland Baltimore County 85-74, UAlbany 91-78, and Maine 79-59 in the championship game to clinch the auto-bid.
The Bulldogs are 23-11 this season and on a 6-game winning streak.
Bryant NCAA Tournament Appearances
In 2025, Bryant basketball will make its second appearance in the Division 1 NCAA Tournament. The Bulldogs also reached the tourney in 2022.
They appeared in the Division II Tournament seven times between 1978 and 2008.

Bryant Basketball NCAA Tournament Wins
Bryant hasn’t won a game in the Division 1 NCAA Tournament and has an 0-2 overall record, losing to Wright State in 2022 and Michigan State in 2025.
Bryant Basketball Coach Phil Martelli Jr.
Phil Martelli Jr. is in his second season as Bryant’s head basketball coach.
The Bulldogs finished 20-13 last year in his first season leading the program, which was just the second time in DI program history that Bryant reached 20 wins. Martelli has been on the Bryant staff since 2018 as an assistant coach. He was promoted to associate head coach in 2020.
Martelli was a four-year player at Saint Joseph’s University, graduating in 2003.
