The Hawaii men’s basketball team is heading to the 2026 NCAA Tournament after winning the Big West Conference. In the Big West Tournament, the Rainbow Warriors defeated Cal State Fullerton 78-63 and UC Irvine 71-64 in the championship game.
The Rainbow Warriors are 24-8 entering the Big Dance and on a 2-game winning streak.
Hawaii NCAA Tournament Appearances
In 2026, Hawaii basketball will make its 6th appearance in the Division I NCAA Tournament.
The Rainbow Warriors also reached the tourney in 1972, 1994, 2001, 2002, and 2016.

Hawaii has won one game in the Division I NCAA Tournament, defeating Cal in 2016.
The Rainbow Warriors have a 1-6 overall record in the Big Dance.
Hawaii Basketball Coach Eran Ganot
Eran Ganot has been Hawaii’s head coach since the 2015-16 season.
In his first year as head coach, Ganot was named the Big West Coach of the Year and the Red Auerbach College Coach of the Year as the Rainbow Warriors finished 28-6. That was the last time Hawaii made the NCAA Tournament until this season.
Before Hawaii, Ganot spent five years as an assistant at Saint Mary’s.
He played college basketball at Swarthmore College from 2000 to 2003.
