The High Point men’s basketball team is heading to the 2026 NCAA Tournament after winning the Big South Conference. In the Big South tournament, it defeated Gardner-Webb 81-59, UNC Asheville 75-71, and Winthrop 91-76 in the championship game to clinch the auto-bid.
The Panthers are 30-4 entering the Big Dance and on a 14-game winning streak.
High Point NCAA Tournament Appearances
In 2026, High Point basketball will make its second appearance in the Division I NCAA Tournament. The Panthers’ first appearance came in 2025.

High Point Basketball NCAA Tournament Wins
High Point has won one game in the Division I NCAA Tournament, defeating Wisconsin in the 2026 First Round.
It is 1-2 overall in the Big Dance after losing in the 2026 Second Round.
High Point Basketball Coach Flynn Clayman
Flynn Clayman is in his first season as the High Point head coach. He is the 15th men’s basketball head coach in program history.
Clayman spent the last two seasons as the associate head coach and offensive coordinator for High Point, helping the program to an overall record of 56-15 and a 27-5 Big South record in those two years.
Before High Point, he spent six seasons at Southern Utah, including time as the associate head coach and a few games as the interim head coach.
