The Idaho men’s basketball team is heading to the 2026 NCAA Tournament after winning the Big Sky Conference. In the Big Sky Tournament, the Vandals defeated Sacramento State 68-45, Montana State 78-74, Eastern Washington 81-68, and Montana 77-66 in the championship game.
The Vandals are 21-14 entering the Big Dance and on a five-game winning streak.

In 2026, Idaho basketball will make its 5th appearance in the Division I NCAA Tournament.
The Vandals also reached the tourney in 1981, 1982, 1989, and 1990.

After receiving a Round of 48 bye, the Vandals defeated Iowa 69–67 in overtime to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. They then lost to Oregon State, 60-42.
