The Lehigh men’s basketball team is heading to the 2026 NCAA Tournament after winning the Patriot League. In the Patriot League Tourney, the Mountain Hawks defeated Holy Cross 69-66, Colgate 76-69, and Boston U 74-60 in the championship game to clinch the auto-bid.
The Mountain Hawks are 18-16 overall this season and on a 6-game winning streak.
Lehigh NCAA Tournament Appearances
In 2026, Lehigh basketball will make its 6th appearance in the Division I NCAA Tournament.
The Mountain Hawks also reached the tourney in 1985, 1988, 2004, 2010, and 2012.

Lehigh has won one game in the Division I NCAA Tournament, defeating No. 2 seed Duke in 2012.
The Mountain Hawks have a 1-6 overall record in the Big Dance after losing in the 2026 First Four.
Lehigh Basketball Coach Brett Reed
Brett Reed is in his 19th season as Lehigh’s head coach.
Reed was named Lehigh’s head coach on Aug. 10, 2007. Before Lehigh, he was the top assistant coach at High Point University for two seasons.
He is the winningest coach in Lehigh history, is the Patriot League’s longest-tenured coach, and is the fastest coach in conference history to reach 100, 200, and 300 career victories. In 2026, Reed became just the second coach in Patriot League history to surpass the 300-win mark.
