The Montana men’s basketball team is heading to the 2025 NCAA Tournament after winning the Big Sky Conference. In the Big Sky Tourney, it defeated Northern Arizona 74-65, Idaho 78-55, and Northern Colorado 91-83 in the championship game to clinch the auto-bid.
The Grizzlies are 25-9 overall this season and on a four-game winning streak.

In 2025, Montana basketball is making its 13th appearance in the Division 1 NCAA Tournament and its first since 2019.
The Grizzlies also reached the tourney in 1975, 1991, 1992, 1997, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2010, 2012, 2013, 2018, and 2019.

DeCuire is in his 11th season at the helm for the Griz. He is the only Montana head coach to lead the Griz to three Big Sky regular-season titles. Under DeCuire, Montana has had six 20-win seasons: 2014-15, 2015-16, 2017-18, 2018-19, 2023-24, and 2024-25.
