The Saint Francis men’s basketball team is heading to the 2025 NCAA Tournament after winning the Northeast Conference. In the NEC tourney, SFU defeated Wagner 58-55, LIU 71-68, and CCSU 46-43 in the championship game to clinch the auto-bid.
The Red Flash are 16-17 overall this season and on a 6-game winning streak.

In 2025, Saint Francis basketball will make its 2nd appearance in the Division 1 NCAA Tournament.
The Red Flash last reached the tourney in 1991.

The Red Flash are 0-2 in the Big Dance, losing to Arizona in 1991 and Alabama State in 2025.
Saint Francis Basketball Coach Rob Krimmel Salary
Rob Krimmel has an annual base salary of about $170,000 as Saint Francis’ head coach.
Krimmel, who is a Saint Francis alum, is in his 13th season leading the program. He was hired back in 2012 for his first collegiate head coaching job.
Since Krimmel took over to lead the program, 14 players have gone on to sign professional contracts: Earl Brown, Greg Brown, Ben Millaud-Meunier, Ronnie Drinnon, Georgios Angelou, Pat Wrencher, Deon Baker, Jamaal King, Andre Wolford, Isaiah Blackmon, Keith Braxton, Ramiir Dixon-Conover, Tyler Stewart and Marlon Hargis.
The Red Flash have reached the NEC championship game four times and the semifinals eight times under Krimmel. This year is their first NCAA Tournament appearance since 1991.
